7th Annual March for Life EventOn Saturday January 19, 2013 the 7th annual March for Life event was held in St Augustine (www.marchforlifestaugustine.com). The National March for Life Rally will be held in Washington, DC on Friday January 25, 2013 (www.marchforlife.org).
The two powerful Men of God speakers at the St Augustine event, Mark Houk (www.thekingsmen.org) and Pastor Bill Montgomery of Deliverence Times Ministry, offered the challenge to MEN to be "virtuous" and Men of God, thus ending the need for a woman to have an abortion. This year marks 40 years and 55 million abortions! See pictures below (click for slide show) from this year's St Augustine event: |

DINNER THEATRE FOLLOWED BY CHRISTMAS GIFT EXCHANGE
The gift exchange will be held at the home of Allan and Brenda Johnson (estimated start time is 8 PM, or immediately following the dinner theatre). LAST MINUTE CHANGE TO THE HOME OF JEFF AND TAMMY WILLIS - THANK YOU FOR A WONDERFUL EVENING Use your best "shopping skills" to buy a gift you know EVERYONE will want to fight over during the Chinese Gift Exchange. Please limit the value to $15. For those not familiar with this type of gift exchange, the first person picks a gift from the pile of all gifts and opens it showing it to all. The next person can either choose an "unknown" gift from the pile, or steal any of the opened gifts before (then that person has the option of a gift from the pile, or any of the opened gifts). Adults acting like children! Trading gifts unwillingly. It promises to be loads of fun.

NEWS - LIFE GROUP SERVES HOMELESS SHELTER
On Sunday evening November 16, 2008 the Friends Through Christ Life Group prepared and served over 50 homeless folks at the St Francis House in downtown St Augustine, FL. It was an unseasonably chilly evening and everyone was very appreciative of the "hot meal" served by the Lord's Servants.
Salad, baked ham, green beans, and corn were served in abundance. Chocolates, apples, and oranges were also offered to those enjoying the meal. Many stuffed the fruit into their pockets as they left the shelter's dining hall to venture back onto the streets of St Augustine in search of a warm place to spend the night.

We are reminded of what the scriptures teach us:
Acts 20:35
35 In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'"
